Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Saturday claimed that Centre imposed several financial restrictions after his government fulfilled its promise of restoring the old pension scheme for state employees.
Addressing a gathering at Karsai, Nadaun, in his home district of Hamirpur, Sukhu also targeted his predecessor and BJP leader Jai Ram Thakur for neglecting the district during his tenure, while stating that that despite having three MLAs from the area, none were included in the Cabinet.
On the other hand Thakur, now the Leader of Opposition, hit out at Sukhu saying the chief minister “spends his day making false claims and keeps trying to cover his failures with fabricated narratives”.
