BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - Veterans have been getting together in Branson all week with special shows, meals, and reunions, giving them a chance to meet fellow veterans and share their stories.

“It’s very important because the World War II and Korean War veterans are disappearing rapidly. What we like to do is get them together where they can reunite themselves. And not only that, but share their stories with us. Because so many of the World War II stories have been lost,” said local veteran Mac McAllister.

At College of the Ozarks, they have been showing documentary-style films about some of these veterans’ stories and also honoring an alumnus who is currently a member of the Army.

Brigadier General Brad Leonard is the 5th general to come from the college. Saturday, a plaque was dedicated
