EMPHIS, Tenn. — It calls itself "the blackest church in Memphis" and soon Abyssinian Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Big events are planned beginning Friday, Nov. 14 with a black tie gala at 7 p.m.
On Saturday a Healthy Bodies wellness fair will be held at the church, at 3890 Millbranch Rd.

Pastor Earl Fisher has been leading Abyssinian Baptist for the last 14 years and is proud of the social justice stance the church has taken in the community.
