No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic rallied to win the Hellenic Championship on Saturday in Athens, Greece, initially denying No. 2 seed Lorenzo Musetti’s bid to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals.
However, Djokovic, 38, said afterward in a post on social media that an “ongoing” shoulder injury would keep him out of the year-end championship that begins Sunday in Turin, Italy. Musetti, who had needed to win this tournament to leapfrog Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, now has the eighth and final slot at the ATP Finals.
