MILWAUKEE — DeForest wasn't able to close the gap against Whitefish Bay Saturday in the D2 State Boys Soccer Championship, falling 3-1 in the title game at Southeast Sales Powersports Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park.
Thomas Began scored the game's first goal in the 16th minute for the Blue Dukes. On the assist was Alec Jacquart. Reid Muderlak tacked on another at the 24th, with Jacquart picking up that assist as well.
The Norskies responded right back on a score from Landon Adams.
Whitefish Bay kept their foot on the gas, adding a third goal from Tucker Drane at the 35th minute.
The Norskies finished with 16 shots, while the Blue Dukes had 6.
The win gives Whitefish Bay program eight championships.
