FRANKLIN, Ind. — A Greenwood man is facing over six decades in prison following his conviction for a 2023 rape.

Tyler Klingensmith, 37, was convicted Nov. 6 on multiple counts of rape, criminal confinement, domestic battery and intimidation. Court documents show Klingensmith had a prior conviction in Arkansas and was previously sentenced to ten years in prison for stalking a former girlfriend.

Klingensmith was reportedly released early on probation for the Arkansas offenses.

On Dec. 28, 2023, a victim reported domestic violence at the hands of Klingensmith to the Greenwood Police Department. At the time, Klingensmith was still under supervision by Arkansas police.
