After wrapping Season 13 of the Canadian mockumentary in August, Mike Smith is stepping back from Trailer Park Boys amid a sexual assault lawsuit against him.
The group behind the Netflix comedy noted that they take “such matters seriously” and that Smith has “stepped away” from his role as Trailer Park Boys Inc.’s managing director after he was charged early last month over an alleged incident that happened in 2017.
“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith dating back to 2017 and take such matters seriously,” said Trailer Park Boys Inc. in a statement to multiple outlets. “We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved.”
