On foot, on wheels and in the skies, they came together Saturday, Nov. 8, to honor veterans.

A Salute To Veterans Parade and Expo returned to downtown Riverside, complete with marching bands, dignitaries waving from cars and plane flyovers.

The event, which began in 2005, traveled from Riverside City College into downtown. The celebration came a few days before Veterans Day .

The spectacle also featured floats, equestrian units and, of course, veterans.

After the parade, the expo gave the community a chance to meet with organizations that support veterans and their families.
