Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has taken a swipe at the federal government, accusing it of “playing a cruel game” by delaying health funding, as he demanded a fairer deal from the prime minister to save stranded patients.
On Sunday at the LNP’s state council on the Gold Coast, the premier took aim at Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and claimed federal responsibilities around the NDIS and aged care were being shirked and passed onto the state.
He compared the federal government’s actions to effectively “shutting down a major Queensland hospital every single day by walking away from doing their job”.
