Komets forward James Stefan scored the game-winning goal in the team’s 4-3 shootout win over the Florida Everblades in front of 7,378 fans at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida.

After both sides failed to score in overtime and in the first two rounds of the shootout, Komets goalie Samuel Jonsson made a stop against forward Anthony Romaro before Stefan scored the walk-off score on Florida goaltender Cam Johnson.

Jonsson and Johnson each finished with 20 saves on 23 shots. Jonsson picked up his fifth-straight win to begin his ECHL career. The Everblades scored on one of three power play chances. The Komets did not have a power play.
