Lillian Lopusnak and Alyssa Patino scored first-half goals for third-seeded Fair Lawn to give it a halftime lead it would not relinquish against 11th-seeded Morristown en route to a 2-1 win in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 Tournament in Fair Lawn.

Fair Lawn’s victory advances it to the sectional semifinal where it will clash with second-seeded Livingston, ranked No. 17 in the NJ.com Top 20, with the winner advancing to the sectional title match.

Cassandra Alfieri chipped in an assist and Maya Showfety made eight saves in goal for Fair Lawn (14-6-1).

Charlotte Moronski was assisted by Addie Emge on the lone goal for Morristown (5-12-3).
