ROCK COUNTY, M.N. (Dakota News Now) - The Rock County, Minnesota, Sheriff’s Office announced that a man had died following an ATV crash near Ash Creek.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, the sheriff’s office received a 911 call from an individual reporting a possible fatal ATV crash approximately 2.5 miles north of the Minnesota/Iowa border along the Rock River near Ash Creek.
The caller told police they were in the middle of a pasture and found the victim and his ATV.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the man had died. According to family reports, the man left his residence earlier in the day to go deer hunting.
According to authorities, the man was riding his ATV from the roadway to his hunting stand when his ATV tipped over along an embankment and came to rest on top of him.
