COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - As we head into the holiday season, with a government shutdown still looming, and prices high due to inflation and tariffs, many are experiencing anxiety about finances.
Joe Craig is an economist with UCCS and told 11 News this level of uncertainty was last seen during COVID, but there may be bright spots at a time where budgets can be tight.
“Firms still are even more out to get our dollars. In an uncertain time, they wanna continue to get their consistent revenue streams as much as possible,” Craig said. “Heading into the holidays, I think we’re gonna see a lot of uncertainty.”
Craig said because brands are still seeking their typical holiday revenues, you may see better sales than in years past.
