The Goa government has sought public suggestions to frame the State Cooperative Policy 2025, aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement in line with the National Cooperative Policy 2025, media reports say.
The policy-drafting panel, chaired by NRI Commissioner Narendra Sawaikar, held its first meeting this week and decided to gather views from citizens until November 25, 2025, via email or in person.
The committee will recommend measures focused on innovation, digitalisation, inclusivity, and sustainability, and submit the draft policy by December 2026.
Members include officials from Cooperation, Agriculture, and NABARD, along with representatives of GCCI and Sahakar Bharati.
