RENO, Nev. (Nevada Athletics) - Nevada volleyball continued its home stand on Saturday afternoon, dropping a four-set match to San José State.
The Pack started the first set strong with kills from Jess Walkenhorst and Nicanora Clarke, keeping pace early.
They tied the set at 8-8 after a kill from Haylee Brown and got their first lead after a block from Walkenhorst and Kamryn Tifft.
Both teams kept it within one of each other until late in the set. Nevada couldn’t overcome a late push from San José State, falling in the opener, 25-20.
Set two went in favor of the Pack for the first half before they found themselves trailing, 12-11.
Nevada was unable to get its momentum back in the second, dropping it 25-21.
