INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Devin Booker had 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, and the Phoenix Suns held off the Clippers 114-103 on Saturday night for their second win over Los Angeles in three days.
Mark Williams scored 19 points for the Suns, who have won four of five. Phoenix kept a lead throughout the fourth quarter, and Booker’s three-point play with 2:59 left got the Suns out of trouble after Los Angeles had trimmed the deficit to five.
Booker fell just short of his first triple-double in the regular season during his 11-year, 683-game career, failing to add a 10th assist after he returned to the game with 7:41 to play. The Suns’ star guard got his only triple-double in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals in June 2021 — also against the Clippers.
