The 27th annual Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards presented by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce once again kept a top honor secret until the very end - including the surprised recipient of the Marvin S. Gilman Bowl, Charles S. McDowell.

McDowell is a retired partner with Potter Anderson. He continues to serve on the board of REACH Riverside Development and East Side Charter School.

“Charlie personifies the essence of my father’s legacy,” Martha S. Gilman said. “He has always been known for his leadership and service in a multitude of organizations throughout the community and quietly continues to make things happen in the most meaningful ways.”
