After a decisive rightward shift in 2024 and dismal polling since, it seems Democrats might have finally turned things around. Now, they must keep the momentum going until the 2026 midterm elections.

The Democratic Party had some major wins on Nov. 4, including the election of Zohran Mamdani as New York City mayor, gubernatorial wins in New Jersey and Virginia , and a redistricting proposition in California that will give the party an edge next year.
