India is set to become the world’s largest Scotch whisky market — both in value and volume — within the next few years, driven by strong competition, rising premium consumption, and steady economic growth, according to Mark Kent CMG, Chief Executive of the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) as quoted by PTI report.

Kent also praised the rapid growth of India’s single malt whisky segment, noting that the SWA is exploring partnerships with Indian producers — not only to introduce their products to the UK but also to tap into global markets together.
