ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Closing arguments are set to begin Monday in the trial of an Owls Head man charged with manslaughter for the death of a 22-month-old toddler last year.
The Midcoast Villager reports the presentation of evidence wrapped up Friday in the trial of Aziayh Scott, 24, in Rockland.
Scott is accused of killing Quayshawn Wilson.
Officials were called to Walmart in Thomaston in May of last year for a report of a child not breathing.
The toddler was taken to a hospital where he later died.
An autopsy determined Wilson died from blunt force trauma and his death was ruled a homicide.
Scott was arrested in Louisiana more than a week after the child’s death.
According to the publication, Scott did not testify during his trial.
