Perth Scorchers skipper Sophie Devine’s bizarre stumping left fans, as well as the star Kiwi cricketer, stunned at the WACA, as her team took on the Sydney Sixers in the third game of the Women’s Big Bash League on Sunday, November 9.

The incident took place in the eighth over of Perth’s innings when Devine, on three, charged down the pitch to attack spinner Ashleigh Gardner. She missed the delivery, while wicketkeeper Emma Manix -Greeves fumbled the take.

The ball deflected off Manix-Greeves’ body onto the stumps before ricocheting away and in a reflex action, she brushed the stumps again with her gloves.
