Bengaluru, Nov 9: In a bid to tackle the disruption caused by consecutive holidays during Dasara and Deepavali, along with bonus leave for educational surveys, Karnataka’s Education Department has announced a series of measures to ensure students complete their syllabus before the upcoming SSLC examinations.

Government and aided schools had lost eight full days and two half-days of teaching due to holidays and survey-related absences, amounting to 66 missed classes. “Eight full days account for 56 classes, and two half-days add another 10 classes, making a total of 66 classes lost,” the department noted.

To make up for the shortfall, extra sessions have been scheduled for classes 8, 9, and 10 until January 24, 2026. Schools have also been instructed
