Sam Darnold was merely 20 years old when he first faced the rowdy crowd of New York City. In his three years with the New York Jets , he was mocked many times (remember his seeing ghosts moment?) But neither the Jets nor the Carolina Panthers , the San Francisco 49ers, nor the Minnesota Vikings stopped making over the next few years, stuck with him for the long run.
That was until the Seattle Seahawks came into the picture, and former NFL player Jason Garrett couldn’t have been happier. “Left for d–d,” Garrett commented on Darnold’s early NFL career in a conversation with the New York Post . “Go to Carolina. Bad team. Left for dead there.
“And then this rebuilding. But it’s not rebuilding with bitterness and ‘I told you so,’ and all the other stuff, it’s just like with joy.”
