COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) — A body found in a wooded area near Main Street and State Route 224 has been identified by family members as 58-year-old Randy Burgess, a homeless man who lived in the woods for about five years.
Mark Trew said his cousin’s body was discovered just feet away from busy Main Street in Coventry Township.
Trew rushed to the wooded area after receiving a call from the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office at 12:32 p.m. Saturday.
“The city morgue wanted to talk to me saying he’s been laying there for a day or so. They didn’t know how long,” Trew said.
The Medical Examiner’s Office has not officially identified the body.
