DUNN, N.C. (WNCN) -- Officials said that a Harnett County dog "tossed" out of an SUV in Dunn on Wednesday was reunited with her owner on Saturday after the incident was caught on video and a woman was charged in the matter.
The incident was caught on video around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at 522 J.W. Edwards Lane in Dunn at the Dunn Animal Control Facility, according to a Thursday Dunn Police Department news release.
The woman who was charged in the case said she took the dog, which animal officials said was named "Skyler," from Hope Lane in Harnett County, Dunn police and animal control officials said.
The dog was in good health, but Skyler was "tossed" out of an SUV, Dunn Animal Control officials said. Video from the Dunn Animal Control Facility showed the dog quickly exiting the SUV.
