Recently, Sebastian Stan spoke about his tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, and now I'm convinced the character is going to die in Avengers: Doomsday . Stan has had a long Marvel career, having joined the franchise 14 years ago in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger , but I fear his journey is coming to an end.

Stan was last seen in the MCU in this year's Thunderbolts* , where he joined forces with other struggling superheroes including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Red Guardian (David Harbour). The Thunderbolts* post-credits scene featured the team together in New Avengers Tower getting a video of the Fantastic Four's extradimensional ship entering Earth's atmosphere.
