Currituck Schools Supt. Lutz delivers good news on school performance grades
Currituck County School Performance Grades and Scores show steady improvement in recent years.

At the outset of his report on the state’s 2024-25 performance grades for the Currituck County Schools, Superintendent Matt Lutz drew chuckles when he told the county commissioners that “This has not always been a joyous moment to come before you all.”
“But today it is,” he said.
During his presentation at the Nov. 3 Currituck Commissioners meeting, Lutz delivered a positive assessment that was greeted as welcome news by the commissioners.
Commissioner Michael Payment put it simply, declaring that “These are numbers to brag on.”
