An investigation is underway following a Sunday morning crash in Peoria that took the life of a 70-year-old man, police said.

The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. Nov. 9 near Grand and Peoria avenues.

Michael Anthony Bianco was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Grand Avenue was closed between 83rd and 84th avenues while the investigation is taking place.

“Impairment does not appear to be a factor at this time,” Peoria police stated in a release.

No further details were available Sunday morning.
