ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta houses the world’s largest collection of Jim Henson puppets, featuring the legendary puppeteer’s iconic Sesame Street characters alongside his personal writings and belongings.

Museum director Jill Nash Malool said the exhibit appeals to people of all ages who want to learn about Henson, the creator of beloved Sesame Street characters.

The timing coincides with Netflix’s new version of Sesame Street, which debuts with a different format than the traditional magazine-style show. The new episodes feature two longer, narrative-driven segments and will be released on Netflix while also airing on PBS.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is also preparing for its popular Rudolph show as the holiday season approaches.
