(KBTX) - The Texas A&M football team remained No. 3 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll after its 38-17 win over previously No. 22 Missouri Saturday.
It’s the fourth consecutive week A&M has held the third position in the AP poll.
A&M gained three first place votes after the win, bringing its total to four. The Aggies remain behind No. 1 Ohio State (55) and No. 2 Indiana (6).
After Indiana’s narrow win over unranked Penn State Saturday, the Hoosiers lost four of their first-place votes. Three went to A&M and one to Ohio State.
The Aggies were last ranked No. 3 in 1995, when they held the position for five consecutive weeks at the beginning of the season. A&M last started a season 9-0 in 1992.
