The Indianapolis Colts vs. the Atlanta Falcons game in Berlin saw an unexpected move from the officials. The Colts took back the lead in the game just a minute later. Alec Pierce made an incredible catch in the end zone for a 37-yard touchdown from Daniel Jones. Two defenders surrounded him, but he still managed to grab the ball with a perfect throw right between them.
However, running back Jonathan Taylor found himself overruled as the Colts’ drive stalled and ended with a 53-yard field goal attempt that was missed. While Taylor appeared to carry the ball past the marker, the officials still ruled him four yards short. No turnover or dramatic stop as he simply didn’t get the extra yard, or so the ruling says. And yes, that decision has stuck so far, even with replay tools at the ready.
