Anti-MAGA Republican Pours Cold Water on Trump’s Proposed $2,000 Tariff Payouts: ‘Just Doesn’t Work’

Anti-MAGA Republican strategist Susan Del Percio warned Americans to not get too excited about the $2,000 checks President Donald Trump said he was sending out on Sunday morning, because she said it is “doubtful” Congress will go along with it.

Del Percio, during an appearance on MSNBC’s said this was “not the first time” such a move has been discussed; she also pointed to the stimulus checks Trump sent out in 2020 as an obvious comparison — but this time, she said, those checks will most likely never get cut.
