Budgam, Nov 09: As campaigning for the high-stakes Budgam by-election drew to a close on Sunday, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah delivered an impassioned appeal to voters, asking them to choose pragmatism over politics. He said the November 11 vote was not about deciding a Chief Minister or Prime Minister, but about electing someone who could bring tangible change to Budgam.

“This election won’t decide the CM or PM — that’s a reality even PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has accepted,” Omar told a cheering crowd at Ompora area of the Assembly constituency.
