Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin has confirmed that Kristers Tobers' season is all but over.
The Latvian international is out with a knee injury he suffered against Motherwell in September.
The defender was expected to be out long-term but Thelin has revealed that he won’t be fit again until next season.
Thelin said: “Tobers is going to be out for more or less the whole season.”
The Dons manager also dismissed talk that midfielder Sivert Nilsen could return to Norway in January.
He said: “No, the media always speculates. There is nothing behind that.”
Meanwhile, Thelin has admitted his team were warned about Motherwell’s quick thinking for their equaliser.
