ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - As colder weather approaches, the city of St. Louis, along with community organizations, has joined forces to provide an emergency shelter for unhoused individuals and those affected by the May 16 tornado.
There will be several locations available for emergency shelter in the St. Louis area from Sunday until Tuesday morning, from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.
If the temperatures remain below freezing in the mornings, the shelters will stay open until the temperatures return to above freezing.
A variety of shelter types will be available for single men, single women, and family rooms.
“St. Louisans who are unhoused or whose homes were damaged by the tornado deserve a warm place to sleep,” said Mayor Cara Spencer. “I am proud of the partnership between our Department
