Officials are investigating an eerie discovery of items possessed by the man facing charges in connection with a road rage shooting in Rankin County.
During the initial court appearance for Walter Ainsworth, who allegedly shot into a woman’s vehicle near the Ross Barnett Reservoir on Oct. 27, it was revealed that the subject had multiple peculiar items, including a bulletproof vest, brass knuckles, multiple gas masks, flares, handcuffs, a baton, and a flamethrower in his vehicle and a camper he owns. A more chilling discovery was made when investigators found a human skull and lower jawbone.
