EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Dillon Gabriel wasn't anything close to great in his first four NFL starts before the Browns hit the bye week. Coach Kevin Stefanski, though, wasn't going to use the break to make a quarterback change.

So it was Gabriel who was on the field with the starting offense when the Browns returned from their break to play at the New York Jets. He did so while hearing the play calls from a new voice, as offensive coordinator Tommy Rees took over those duties from Stefanski.
