BLACKFORD COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- A group of children is being credited with saving their beloved neighbor from a house fire in Indiana.
Nina Osgood has been looking after the five children for about 12 years, while their mother, Keisha Gerber, was at work.
Due to the nature of her job, she works long, odd hours, so Nina offered to step in and help the family.
"She's amazing," Gerber told Nexstar's WANE. "That lady would give the shirt off her back... She does everything for me and my kids."
Earlier this month, Brenna Fields, 9, saw smoke and bright flames rising from Osgood's window.
Brenna; her 11-year-old brother Reese, and 8-year-old cousin Grant Cosner rushed to rescue Osgood.
