ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – As New Mexico's Special Legislative Session starts on Monday, the Albuquerque Homeless Union held a press conference, calling on lawmakers to make changes for the community. Organizers from the union and participants from the People's Forum met at Civic Plaza, hanging banners with a list of demands to reopen the federal government, restore funding for housing and health care, and repurpose New Mexico's resources to create a sustainable humanitarian mission.
