SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- ABC4 Chief Meteorologist Alana Brophy won an Emmy for Best Weather Anchor on Saturday.
Brophy has been forecasting at ABC4 for the last decade and has been nominated five times for weather coverage in the past. After taking a look at a compilation of her forecasting in the studio and live in the field, the judges awarded her the 2025 Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy as a weather anchor.
"I'm completely humbled and honored to win this Emmy award," Brophy said. "I truly love what I do and recognition by my peers feels very rewarding."
Brophy has previously won an Emmy in which she was recognized as a news anchor.
She added, "I feel so lucky to do something that I love everyday. Live weather is my passion and to be able to forecast in my home state where I'm raising
