Alistair Johnston will join Callum Osmand in surgery on Tuesday as Marcelo Saracchi added to Celtic ’s chronic injury issues. ‌

Manager Martin O’Neill gave a shock update on the Canadian international following his team’s 4-0 win over Kilmarnock. ‌

Johnston was out for almost two months at the beginning of the season with a hamstring injury and broke down last month during his comeback against Sturm Graz. ‌

O’Neill has now confirmed the defender and Osmand will both go under the knife after the young striker’s devastating setback last week.
