ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Human Services announced it will issue partial SNAP benefits for November, following new federal directives.

SNAP recipients whose regular distribution dates have already passed will receive their benefits by Tuesday, Nov. 11, according to DHS. All remaining benefits will be released on the usual schedule through the rest of the month.

Eligible recipients will receive up to 65% of their normal SNAP benefit amount, depending on their income and other deductions, the department said.

DHS is also reminding recipients to take steps to protect their funds from fraud. Officials encourage users to lock their EBT cards between purchases using the “lock my card everywhere” feature in the ConnectEBT app.
