GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A pedestrian was hit and killed on Dedeaux Road near North Wilson Boulevard in Gulfport at around 7:30 Saturday night.

Officials from the Gulfport Police Department say the vehicle involved was traveling west before it hit a female pedestrian, killing her.

The incident is still under investigation.

The identify of the victim has not been released at this time.
