The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office on Friday ended its search for Devon Dobek, a 51-year-old from Hubbard who has been missing in the Mount Hood National Forest since Oct 31.
Search parties combed the forest for Dobek after he failed to return from a hunting trip. Several agencies equipped with drones, dogs and ATV’s searched steep, wooded terrain that was burned in the 2020 wildfires and riddled with fallen trees, the sheriff’s office said.
Dobek’s car was found at the Fish Creek Trailhead, off Southeast Highway 224 and 54 Road, according to the sheriff’s office. No sign of Dobek or the deer he had reportedly told friends he’d bagged were found at the truck.
