ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A local church held an annual event on Sunday afternoon to provide a warm meal and winter apparel for community members in need.

Each year, the Genesee Park Seventh-day Adventist Church hosts Community Day, an event that invites the congregation and surrounding neighbors to a complimentary breakfast, access to the food pantry, support, and more.

From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, attendees in need were provided a selection of free coats to choose from in preparation for upcoming cold temperatures and snowy conditions

The church is located at 391 Genesee Boulevard.
