PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco City Council is backing the City of West Richland’s consideration of a ban on aerial fireworks within city limits.
The Tri-Cities region faces safety incidents and property damage each year due to fireworks use.
A letter of support from the Pasco City Council, signed by Mayor David Milne, will be sent to West Richland. It highlights the importance of enhancing community safety and reducing the strain on first responders during the fireworks season.
“The Pasco City Council commends West Richland for taking this important step to enhance community safety and reduce strain on first responders during the fireworks season,” the letter stated.
The council is set to discuss the support letter during its November 10 workshop meeting .
