WAIANAE, Hawaii (Island News) -- A man was severely injured after he was hit by a car in Waianae on Friday evening.

The pedestrian accident took place on Farrington Highway near Waianae Hele Gas on Friday, Nov. 7. Paramedics treated a 65-year-old man at the scene after he was hit by a car which left him critically injured.

The man was taken to the emergency room in critical condition for further medical treatment.

The circumstances involved in the accident, like the cause or possible factors, were not reported. It was also not reported whether he was walking in a marked crosswalk or not.
