CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- On Sunday afternoon, a group came together at Trinity Episcopal Church to teach the community how to turn their garbage into gold.

The Piedmont Master Gardeners hosted an outdoor composting workshop, showing people how composting can reduce waste and cut down on landfill buildup. The group says the benefits go beyond just recycling.
