“I’ve never been on the opposite side of things — it feels amazing,” said the Saskatoon Hilltops’ star running back, soaking it all in after experiencing a first Canadian Bowl championship win Sunday over the Okanagan Sun.
Collins rushed the ball 26 times for 143 yards, scoring a pair of touchdowns, in a thrilling 21-18 victory over the visiting Sun on a chilly afternoon at SMF Field in the Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
“It’s an unreal feeling,” said Collins, an American import from Minnesota who was named the Canadian Bowl offensive player of the game.
