SEATTLE — Remember six days ago? Back when Jacoby Brissett was met by hugs as he walked off the field in Dallas, when Trey McBride was the celebratory hero on SportsCenter, when Jonathan Gannon could smile and laugh and talk about how good a win felt?

It feels like a different world now.

This week, for the first time all season, there was an air of genuine optimism around the Cardinals . Even if they didn’t turn their season around to make a miracle playoff run, they had seemingly found new life with Brissett at quarterback. It was easier to feel good about the whole operation, from offensive coordinator Drew Petzing to Gannon to general manager Monti Ossenfort.
